Planning Committee date 17th February 2021 – ACT NOW

We hope you are keeping safe and warm. A reminder about Ealing Council’s own planning application at Perceval House.  They are proposing a mega 26 storey tower block of mainly private flats just seconds away from Dickens Yard where many homes remain unoccupied and numerous retail units have remained empty for years. Ealing Councils over development of the site DOES NOT address the current housing crisis as the vast majority of flats will not be available for social renters. Not only would this development, (if approved) set a dangerous precedent for tall towers reaching skyward in the centre of Ealing and surrounding roads, there is also a huge conflict of interest.  Ealing Planning team cannot make fair or impartial decisions on this application.  Ealing council is the planning authority assessing the proposed development and deciding whether to grant or refuse planning permission. But Ealing council  is also the site ownerthe housing authority, and Vistry’s development partner.  The Council will essentially decide its own application. If you want to object to this application which is due to be heard on 17th February 2021, please follow this link to the council’s portal and ACT NOW by clicking here

For more information about reasons to object, please see here And email your Ealing MP too. They must speak up against this inappropriate development and process.
