It’s a real insight into how the term ‘shared ownership’ can manifest itself around schemes that ultimately leaves its occupants feeling distressed. Southern Grove claimed their tower was all fully affordable, but the documentary uncovers generally on shared ownerships how lease lengths, service charge, ground rent, the rent mechanism and service charge repair bills can all conspire against occupants.
